Erik Fahrenkopf
/ˈfer-ən-cough/
I was introduced to advertising at birth, when my parents named me after a commercial for Scandinavian cigars. I took that kernel of inspiration and turned it into a successful career in advertising. Every single assignment has been a unique challenge that allowed me to explore a huge range of solutions. I’ve teamed with Werner Herzog to take on distracted driving, collaborated with Stranger Things to rewrite history, kickflipped a Cadillac with Portugal. The Man and helped Old Spice make the world a better smelling place. My work has been recognized by the Emmys, Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, ANDYs and the Webbys. I even have several films in the Museum of Modern Art, which must have Frida Kahlo justifiably rolling in her grave. When I’m not working on briefs, I’m fixing up my fixer-upper that I’ll probably never finish fixing up.
